Boris Johnson declares war on Whitehall 'waste' vowing to give taxpayers value for money

BORIS JOHNSON declared war on wasteful Whitehall projects yesterday in a new drive to provide better value for taxpayers. The Prime Minister tasked his entire Cabinet to "root out waste" in their departments so the Government can focus on the priorities set out in the Tories' general election manifesto.
